There are few things better in this world than giving an animal a home. Rescue and adoption are the heart and soul of animal advocacy, and opening our doors to new best friends is an experience that is beyond compare.
To folks residing in the New York metropolitan area, Rescue Ink recommends that you call, visit, or click the Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center: saveapetli.net
For those residing elsewhere, we recommend going to www.petfinder.com , a great online resource for finding pets across the U.S.A.

On June 2, Rescue Ink responded to Mineola, NY, after having been alerted that 24 cats and 1 dog were located in a house where the owner was being evicted. Responding immediately, the members of Rescue Ink found a terrible, filthy situation, and animals in need of serious attention.
With the assistance of our good friends at Save-A-Pet, the animals have been spared being euthanized, and are now receiving proper care and shelter. Save-A-Pet’s capacity has been seriously stretched by this rescue, and these beautiful cats need loving homes. Please click here for pictures, and more information.
Cece’s story is not unlike many stories that come through the doors of Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue. But her story deserves to be told. Being an older Pit Bull mix, she was slated to be euthanized—regardless of her gentle spirit and grace. Read MORE

They say there are some fates worse than death. Quite possibly life on a chain is one. Being tethered to a ram shackled dog house combined with social starvation was the only life Petey knew. Each day of his 5 years was not a life but an existence. We're sure at one time Petey was the cutest little pup his family had ever seen...... happy go lucky with hope in his eyes. The day he arrived at a municipal shelter that hope turned to fear and despair. How sad that as Petey grew bigger his family's hearts grew smaller. Read MORE

Bradley is just the cutest. He is about 8 years old. He was found as a stray and then we rescued him from the local euthanizing shelter. We can't imagine how this poor little guy ended up in the streets without a home. He will need a nice calm home that will allow him to relax and cuddle up next to his new family all he wants. If your interested in this cutie, stop by the shelter or fill out an online application. Visit www.rabari.org for more information.
